The story
Ura is about two hours east of Jakar by road. Its old houses, packed close round the temple, make it the most complete traditional village that is easy to reach. The 2023 film The Monk and the Gun was made here.
Festivals
Every August the valley holds a festival for the matsutake mushroom season.
